Criminals used a bank card from a stolen wallet to withdraw cash and purchase items in a wine shop.
Police investigating a theft in Watford are releasing images of a man and a woman they wish to speak to as part of the investigation into the incident.
It is unclear how the thief came into the possession of the victim’s wallet, but it is believed to have happened between 8pm on December, 30 and 12.15pm on Tuesday, December 31.
A a bank card from the wallet was used in three locations in St Albans Road, withdrawing cash from the Santander bank, at an ATM and at the VSP Wine store.
PC Mo Huzair said: "I am eager to hear from anyone who believes they may know the identity of the man and woman pictured.
"It is possible they witnessed the incident and have information crucial to the investigation.
"If you recognise the people pictured, or if you recognise yourself, please contact me as soon as possible."
