Northwood hospital staff are holding a quiz night next month in an effort to raise money for some new equipment for its scanning centre.
The Paul Strickland Scanner Centre, at Mount Vernon Hospital, in Rickmansworth Road, receives no government funding and is trying to improve the services it offers patients.
The centre is trying to improve its MRI scanning capabilities, which could cost between £900,000 and £1.5million.
Recently, the centre raised enough money to install a PET-CT scanner. Each new scanner costs from £1 million to £1.5 million, with more than 13,500 scans taking place each year.
There will be a quiz night on Friday, February 28 at 7pm at The Fairway Inn, Rickmansworth Golf Club, in Moor Lane.
Teams of six are welcomed and tickets cost £12.50 per person and include a Chilli or Veggie Lasagne supper.
