Budding young builders are invited to visit Cassiobury Park to construct their own insect hotel.

Constructed from recycled materials, the finished bug box will provide the perfect habitat for spiders, ladybirds, lacewings and bees.

The workshop will take place on Wednesday, February 19 from 11am to 1pm at Café Cha Cha Cha and is suitable for children aged five and upwards, although all children must be accompanied by an adult.

Participants are asked to bring a small hammer, but all other materials and tools will be provided.

To book a place or for further information contact Debbie Brady, Watford Borough Council Community Ranger on 01923 278972 or deborah.brady@watford.gov.uk

I would have loved this as a kid, actually it still sounds like fun! Now where can I borrow a five year old kid to take along?
