There is a weather warning of ice in place for Wednesday night and Thursday morning across south west Hertfordshire.
The Met Office has issued the yellow warning - the lowest level of severe weather warning and is asking members of the public to be aware of slippery conditions to start Thursday.
The Met Office’s chief forecaster said: "A short incursion of easterly winds brings just a taste of the wintry weather experienced further east and north across Europe recently.
"Ice is probably the main concern but a few areas might wake to see a dusting of snow."
The yellow warning is in place from 9pm on Wednesday until 12pm on Thursday.
