Three Rivers District Council has approved plans for a new play area in South Oxhey.
The play area will be installed in disused open space along Prestwick Road, close to Greenfields School.
Works on the site will take place in three stages, with the first involving the clearance of brambles and the removal of some weaker, less mature trees before March 1.
The second phase will take place following the appointment of a contractor to install the play area, with installation expected to take place in April.
The final stage of the project will see the installation of a new footpath through the site, replacing the existing unmade path.
All works are expected to be complete by the end of May.
