Watford Borough Council passes budget

Watford Borough Council passed its budget for the year at a meeting this evening.

The budget includes a freeze in council tax, while avoiding cuts to services and facilities.

An alternative Labour budget, which included a £1.5 million regeneration of St Albans Road, was voted down.

Well, I'm glad to hear it, don't let Labour near anything to do with WBC's budget/money. Last time they ran the show they seriously messed things up. Auditors refused to sign off the accounts for, was it 3yrs in a row?
