A main Watford road was severely flooded yesterday which caused heavy traffic in the nearby area.
Fire crews were first called to Lower High Street at 9.22am on Sunday, February 2 with reports of flood water affecting several properties.
At 10.46 Hertfordshire County Council consulted with the environment agency as the flood water was believed to be rising. The county council continued to receive calls from concerned residents throughout the day.
Crews from Watford and Garston worked to pump out some of the water and an inspection is due to take place this morning.
Residents of Rickmansworth and Bushey also reported severe flooding in Moor Lane and Radlett Road.
