Sky Sports presenter Charlie Webster dropped by Watford FC as part of her attempt to run 250 miles and visit 40 football clubs to raise awareness of domestic violence.

From Sunday, January 26 to Saturday February 1, she completed the run to help raise funds for Women's Aid and encourage football clubs, players and fans to unite in the fight against domestic violence.

Watford Observer:

The challenge began at Burton Albion FC on Sunday, January 26, and ended at West Ham United FC on Saturday, February 1.

Blogging about her experience in Watford, Charlie said: "I started the day at Watford where Radio 1's Scott Mills and Chris Stark came to see me after sleeping with my leg elevated again to try and drain the fluid.

"I still felt quite rough but once I started running I just improved throughout the day and my leg is almost starting to drain itself while I'm running.

"En route from Watford to Wembley I had to have my calf measured repeatedly to make sure it wasn't swollen too much.

"Members of the Sherfield Park Runners joined me from Watford to Wembley and we had great fun."

Charlie aims to raise £100,000, enabling Women’s Aid to support thousands of survivors of domestic violence over the coming year.

Do you think she would done more to "Raise Awareness of domestic violence"
if she had got hospitalized by her husband?
It's hard to say really as I've never heard of her, but surely that would of got more publicity and therefore raised more awareness?

Just asking.
