A brand new minibus has been presented to Parmiter’s School in Watford by The West Herts Charity Trust.

The charity has donated more than 50 minibuses to local community groups, Peace Hospice Care, local Scout groups, Watford Mencap, a number of schools, Scouts and Air Cadets.

The value of the donations is in excess of £1,500,000 over a 10 year period.

The minibus will be used to take students to sports fixtures, on geography field trips, theatre visits, public speaking competitions, musical engagements and community service.

Mr Ashley Redmond, senior master, said: "I was driving through Kings Langley, when I spotted the Kings Langley School minibus and noted that it had been donated by West Herts Charity Trust.

"I got in touch with the charity and made an application for a new minibus, which required a donation from the school. We were one of four applicants who were successful.

"On behalf of the school I would like to express my sincere gratitude to West Herts Charity Trust."
