Author and wildlife television personality, Peter Holden MBE, will be speaking at the next Chorleywood and District Royal Society for the Protection of Birds’ meeting later this month.
Mr Holden, who has been working for the RSPB for more than 40 years, was responsible for setting up the society’s Young Ornithologists Club.
He has also devised the popular Big Garden Birdwatch, which has grown into the largest wildlife survey in the world.
The event will take place at The Russell School, in Brushwood Drive, on Thursday, February 20 at 8pm.
For many years, Mr Holden appeared on BBC’s Blue Peter. He also joined Bill Oddie in a BBC1 series called Bird in the Nest in 1994 and 1995 and he has contributed to Springwatch.
His written works include the RSPB Handbook to British Birds, RSPB Handbook of Garden Wildlife and Birds: a Hidden World.
