In Watford, Lower High Street has been closed for the second time in a week due to flooding. Wiggenhall Road was also overwhelmed by flood water.

The problems led to gridlock in the ring road and around Watford town centre.

Fire crews were at full stretch this morning responding to numerous emergency flooding callouts across south west Hertfordshire.

The problems have been caused after heavy rainfall across the area though yesterday and last night. The Met Office is predicting more rain through today and tomorrow.
