Firefighters pumping water from a flooded house in Rickmansworth had to fill sandbags from the bunkers of a nearby golf course.
A total of six engines were called to Moor Lane throughout the day on Friday, after the Grand Union Canal burst its banks into five gardens.
Firefighters pumped water away between 7.40am and 1.40pm as water began entering the home of an elderly woman.
They filled sand bags from the bunkers of the nearby Rickmansworth Golf Course in order to keep the flooding at bay.
The club was happy to donate the sand.
