Police have released CCTV of a man after a woman had her purse stolen in a discount fashion store in Watford town centre.
Hertfordshire Constabulary said the victim was in Choice, in High Street, at around 12.10pm on Tuesday, January 23 when her purse was removed from her bag, which was on the back of a pushchair.
PC Rebecca Hancock said: "Whilst we are conducting both high visibility and covert patrols in the town in order to catch offenders, I would also like to use this opportunity to remind people to keep their valuables secure when shopping in town.
"Keep all valuables, such as purses and mobile phones, out of sight, and never leave your bag or other valuables unattended, especially on the back of buggies. Be aware of people around you, especially in busy areas."
Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Hancock via Hertfordshire Constabulary’s non-emergency number 101 quoting crime reference number C1/14/347.
