Watford Observer: Club's events raise £2,000 for diabetes charity Club's events raise £2,000 for diabetes charity

Members of the St George’s Day Club which celebrates the patron saint of England this week presented a cheque for £2,000 to Diabetes UK.

The club raised the money through a variety of events including a charity ball on St George’s Day, April 23, cricket match, golf day and quiz night.

Javed said: "At Diabetes UK we are working towards a future without diabetes.

"Fantastic fundraising like this from the St George’s Club can really help in a wide number of areas including funding pioneering, life-changing research into care, treatment and prevention of all types of diabetes."
