A Chorleywood secondary school is leading a bid to build a free school in Croxley Green.

St Clement Danes School, in Chenies Road, will sponsor the bid to build the Croxley Green School, in Baldwins Lane.

Josephine Valentine, headteacher of St Clement Danes School, said the goal is to open the secondary school in September 2016 with an intake of 180 pupils.

The team leading the proposals first need to gain the support of the Education Funding Agency, with a bid due to be submitted to them in September.
