A team of gymnasts from a primary school in Bushey is back in training after winning a gymnastics competition last week.

Five girls and one boy from Year 2 at Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School took part in the Watford and Hertsmere School Sports Partnership Gymnastics final last Tuesday and were awarded medals.

They now represent the partnership in the county finals in March, as part of the Hertfordshire School Games spring finals.

Ms Harkness, their school class teacher and coach said: "We are very proud of our children who have worked really well on their floor routine and together as a team. Their timing and synchronicity was key to winning. The children, parents and staff are very excited that they are to take part in the county finals."

The school has used some of their sports premium funding to employ gymnastic coaches which has allowed more children to develop their sporting and gymnastic skills.
