Members of Parkinson’s UK West Herts branch gathered at the Stanborough Centre in Watford to welcome the Vice-Chair of Watford Borough Council, Councillor George Derbyshire, who addressed their branch annual meeting on Thursday.
Councillor Derbyshire said that without the work of the branch, many people diagnosed with Parkinson’s would not get the support and help that they needed.
Branch Chair Sally Pollitt said the branch had recently moved to the Stanborough Centre, and it had proved to be an excellent venue. She said: "We are delighted with our new venue for branch meetings, and grateful to Councillor Derbyshire for his support, and for welcoming us to Watford."
