Seven pupils from Bushey have officially achieved their Gold Arts Award, which will help them when applying for university.

In order to get the award, pupils from The Purcell School had to prepare and demonstrate high levels of personal arts development and extension, community work, arts management and advanced project leadership skills.

The Gold Arts Award is worth 35 UCAS points for successful students. The Purcell School has been part of a pilot scheme organised by the Royal Opera House Bridge programme, Trinity and the Arts Council.

The successful pupils from Year 12 are Ruth Dingle, Stephanie Edwards, Jessica Lee, and Sophia Alexandra. Zanete Petersone and John Bae from Year 13 also got the award along with Sam Every from Year 10.
