A new challenge is coming to Watford next month and Peace Hospice Care is looking for 400 competitors to sign up to face it.

The Push It River Runner is a two mile sprint run through the wet and mud with a series of more than 15 fiendishly testing obstacles.

Watford Observer:

The course which has been designed by ex-military specialists promises to be one of the toughest on the obstacle and mud run calendar.

Peace Hospice Care Events Manager, Pete Watson said: "It may only be a short course but don’t let that fool you, this is going to be an extremely tough two miles which will push the toughest of runners to their limits."

He added: "Following the phenomenal success of our Push it for the Peace five mile obstacle course we ran back in September there was overwhelming demand for us to put on a similar event which is why we’ve come up with the River Runner.

"People can expect the same great atmosphere and camaraderie as last year along with some of the old favourite obstacles such as tunnel crawls and rope swings but the difference with the River Runner is that there’ll be lots and lots of water."

Places for the Push it River Runner are strictly limited to 400 and 200 challengers have already signed up. To book a place visit www.peacehospicecare.org.uk or contact the events team on 01923 335365.
