A man who threatened to jump off a multi-storey car park in Watford has since been arrested after officers discovered he was wanted for missing a court date.
Police were called to Kings Car Park, off Beechen Grove, at 4.04pm yesterday after members of the public saw a man sitting on the edge of the building and another talking to him.
The service road to the car park was cordoned off while officers dealt with the incident.
The two men were eventually talked down. But then officers arrested one of the pair, a 40-year-old from Watford, after it emerged he was wanted for missing a court appearance to answer charges of theft and criminal damage.
Hertfordshire Constabulary said he remains in custody. No action was taken against the second man.
