Kings Langley police officers are asking residents to be vigilant over fake bank notes.
Police have said that there have been instances where people are approached in the street asking for change for a fake twenty pound note.
Officers are conducting regular patrols to catch and deter offenders.
Anyone who witnesses suspicious behaviour is asked to contact police via the non-emergency number 101 or dial 999 if a crime is in progress.
