Businesses, charities and quiz fanatics joined together to support local charities in the Dragon’s Apprentice Big Quiz Challenge on Monday night.
The evening, which took place at the Watford Colosseum, arranged by Watford and Three Rivers Trust, included a buffet meal followed by a quiz.
Watford New Hope Trust is one of the charities involved in the Dragon’s Apprentice Challenge and had a team taking part in the evening.
Louise Broadbent, Fundraising officer at the charity, said: “It was great to see so many local businesses coming together to support local charities in the community. The Dragon's Apprentice Challenge is an excellent way to get local school pupils involved in fundraising for local charities as well as developing their entrepreneurial skills.”
The charity, teamed with St Joan of Arc Catholic School and local solicitors, Matthew Arnold and Baldwin, have already benefited from £800 through the St Joan of Arc students’ efforts. More money is likely to be received from the Big Quiz Challenge, pushing the total towards the pupils’ £1,000 target.
