Uxbridge Road has now reopened.
Repairs to a burst water main in Uxbridge Road, Rickmansworth, have been completed and the road has been reopened.
The road was closed between Denham Way and Grove Road after the main burst on Monday.
This caused significant traffic congestion in the area while repairs were carried out by Affinity Water.
