A host of golden daffodils will be blooming in spring thanks to the volunteer gardeners at Peace Hospice Care.
They have been busy planting thousands of donated tulips, daffodils and crocus bulbs at the front of the hospice building and in the courtyard garden.
The hospice needs some extra green fingered volunteers to help the gardens grow. They need people that can maintain flowerbeds, and tend the patient gardens.
The Hospice Inpatient Unit is designed so that each room opens directly into a mini garden.
Peace Hospice care chief executive Sue Plummer said: "We are proud to be able to offer patients the space and peace of a well tended garden.
"Many patients and families comment on how much they enjoy the smell of the flowers or the sight of natural flowers and plants growing outside their rooms.
"Maintaining our gardens takes a dedicated team and we are keen to find extra volunteers who can give time to our gardens."
