Ten Rickmansworth pupils performed to patients at a Watford hospice during a "rewarding" visit.

A choir from The Reach Free School, in Tolpits Lane, visited Peace Hospice Care on February 12.

The young singers had written lyrics to The Hospice Song, which were then applied to the music of Bruno Mars’ The Lazy Song.

Their enthusiastic entertainment was part of the school’s ethos to help the community.

Louisa Sillett, teacher and co-ordinator for The Gleeks choir, said: "Our students were very aware of the work of the hospice and it was their suggestion to perform to patients.

"They had such a rewarding time and have been invited back to sing."
