An appeal has been launched against Three Rivers’ decision to refuse planning permission for an extension on a Rickmansworth house.
The protest against the district council’s decision to reject an application to build a two storey side and a single storey front extension at the Plaitford Close property has been lodged with the planning inspectorate.
The application was rejected by the council for the reason that: "The proposed two storey side extension, by reason of its height, depth, width and proximity to the boundary, would be a prominent, overbearing and visually obtrusive development that would be detrimental to the character and appearance of the adjacent public footpath."
The appeal, submitted by Mr E Halpin, will be determined on the basis of written representations.
