M1 motorway reopened following oil spill
The M1 northbound has reopened following recovery works after last night’s vegetable oil spill.
The M1 was closed on the northbound section between junctions 6a and 8, after a large amount of vegetable oil being spilled on the carriageway yesterday evening.
There were road closures on the M1 between M25 west and the M1 north lane, and at the junction 6a northbound entry slip road two lanes were closed causing delays.
