A society for blind people will continue to be able to publish its newsletter for visually-impaired Three Rivers residents.

Hertfordshire Society for the Blind has been given a £600 cash boost, which means that large print, Braille and audio versions of Sight News will continue to be distributed.

The newsletter raises awareness of local and national issues, and promotes independence and gives advice on how to tackle loneliness and isolation.

The money came from Hertfordshire County Council’s locality grant scheme.
