Hundreds of people are expected to gather at an Aldenham Hare Krishna temple next weekend to celebrate the vibrant festival of Holi.
Bhaktivedanta Manor Hare Krishna Temple, in Hilfield Lane, will be hosting the colourful religious festival on Sunday, March 16.
Bright powder will be tossed in the air by family and friends in celebration of the start of spring.
The festivities will culminate in a bonfire to mark the ancient story of the boy saint, Prahlada, who was saved from a raging fire set by his aunt Holika.
The event will begin at 2pm, with the throwing of colourful powders starting at 4pm and the bonfire commencing at 6pm. Vegetarian meals will be served from 6pm onwards.
