Residents are invited to dine at a Chorleywood care home which will be opening its doors next week for a free event aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle.
Sunrise of Chorleywood, in High View, will be hosting the event on Wednesday, March 12, between 3pm and 4.30pm.
The event is part of Taste of Sunrise, a national campaign which will see Sunrise communities across the country open their doors to celebrate the importance of nutritious food for older people.
Guests can sample the food on offer, learn about different dishes and pick up recipe cards.
Maria Bamford, Sunrise of Chorleywood’s general manager, said: "We’re really excited to be bringing Taste of Sunrise to Chorleywood.
"It will be a great chance to educate people about the need for a nutritious diet as you grow older. It will also be a chance to applaud the important work of our chefs in ensuring every single resident receives exceptional food which meets their individual needs, and that our residents enjoy the highest quality of care.
"This is a long way from the traditional image of food in the care sector, and we’re looking forward to welcoming everyone to Sunrise of Chorleywood to sample the delicious home-cooked food on offer."
