A young girl has been reunited with her camera after six months, following an appeal from a museum in Bushey published in the Watford Observer.

Lola Walsh left her pink VTech camera in the shop at Bushey Museum, containing 300 pictures of her, her dog and father.

The first picture taken on Boxing Day 2012, suggesting it may well have been a Christmas present.

Shop manager Barry Hyman said: "We looked at the many pictures on it, but could recognise no one.

"In March I had a light bulb moment - as opposed to my many senior moments. I took it home, downloaded the pictures and sent two, one of a child and one of her father, to the paper.

"The picture was instantly recognised and within two days Lola and camera were reunited. With grandchildren of my own, I was determined to try and find the child who must have been so upset at losing it.

"You can see how happy she is to have it back."
