A council is cutting the opening hours of its offices in a bid to save money.
Hertsmere Borough Council’s office in Borehamwood will be open Monday to Thursday 9am to 5.15pm, and Friday 9am to 5pm, instead of opening at 8.30am as before.
Bushey Area Office in the Bushey Centre in the High Street will be open Tuesdays from 9.30am to 2pm as opposed to three days a week as it is now.
The changes will come into effect on March 31.
The new opening hours are the result of the council's ‘participatory budgeting’ exercise, where 400 residents were asked where they thought it could save money.
