Firefighters, paramedics and police were called to a crash in Chorleywood this morning following reports that a person was trapped in a car.

The emergency services were called at about 10.10am after concerns that the red Volkswagen Up was on its side on Chess Way and that a woman had become trapped.

Police had to close the road at the junction with Solesbridge Lane.

When the fire crew from Rickmansworth arrived, they found that the woman had escaped the car.

Paramedics are currently on the scene and it is believed the woman has sustained minor injuries.
Vehicle recovery is being arranged.
