Children at Field Junior School in Watford were in a flap this week when six owls were brought to the school.
The owls on show included birds common to the UK, including the Barn and Tawny owl.
The children watched the birds swoop over head and some of them got the chance to carry them, pet them and help fly them.
All the children’s lessons throughout the week involved creative work around the theme of owls.
Ethan from Year 3 said: "It was the best week ever. It was awesome."
