Youngsters from Laurance Haines School in Vicarage Road, Watford, have danced their way into the finals of the Southern Junior Rock Challenge.

Laurance Haines made it to the finals after competing against 12 others schools in the county qualifying round.

The dance troop, consisting of 43 members, finished first and will represent Hertfordshire in the final on Wednesday, June 18.

Teacher Laura Gammon said the school was very proud of the team and the place in the final was just reward for all the hard work they have put in during rehearsals and costume making.

Now, fingers crossed, she said they hoped to go on and win the Southern final.
