There will be a day of celebration to mark the 100th anniversary of a bus services between Watford Junction and Kilburn Park Station on Sunday, March 30.

The London bus route 142 has run continuously between the Junction and Kilburn, and in later years Brent Cross, for a century having been started by the London General Omnibus Company in March 1914.

During the day of celebration free additional services will run using vintage and classic London buses over the 142 and 158 (Watford-Harrow) routes together with services over the old London Transport "green" routes 302, 306, 311, 345, 346, 346D School Special and 347.

Services will operate at frequent intervals from 10.03am until 5.17pm.

This event is organised by the Amersham & District Motorbus Society in conjunction with Transport for London and Arriva the Shires.
