A council is asking the public for its ideas on how to improve the economy.

Hertsmere Borough Council’s recently employed economic development team has produced a strategic document to set out the aims and priorities for improving Hertsmere’s economy.

They would like to hear from people about how they think the economy can be improved further.

Councillor Seamus Quilty, economic development and housing portfolio holder, said: "Hertsmere is a great place to live and work and has a diverse and relatively strong economy already but we have enormous potential to grow even further.

"This is our first step to develop an economic development strategy so please have your say, your feedback will be used to inform the final strategy and resulting action plans to ensure economic prosperity and improve the quality of life for everyone."

The draft document has been produced using local data from national databases, information from the council’s Local Plan and consultation with partners.
