About 20 people gathered in Watford town centre for a candlelight vigil to mark the third anniversary of the uprising in Syria.
Watford Amnesty International organised the event, which ran from 7.30pm to 8.30pm, on the steps by St Mary’s Square, in the High Street.
The vigil was one of many Amnesty events across the country, with the main aim being to focus on the plight of thousands civilians trapped in besieged areas of Syria, many of whom who have little food, water or medicine.
It was organised as a way of putting pressure on the international community to ensure humanitarian aid gets to the people in that region.
