Council officials are investigating a large banner that has been put up outside a Bushey house to celebrate "victory" in a neighbourly feud.
The banner, which reads "V is for Victory", appeared at the house on the junction between Bournehall Avenue and Bourne Road yesterday afternoon.
A letter stapled next to the banner said it represented the owner of the property sending a message to his neighbour in their dispute over some gates.
The message chronicled the row, which was reported to have been taken to the council and was set to go to a public inquiry.
Hertsmere Borough Council said the case was ongoing and it was unable to comment.
