Fundraisers at Laurance Haines School run off pudding party for charity

Children at Laurance Haines School in Harwoods Road, Watford, enjoyed a week of activities to help raise cash for Sport Relief.

The firm began with a pudding party with staff baking and eaing puddings for a donation and then burn the calories off by joining the children in their sports activities. 

Students tried out a range of games and activities, including football, cricket, basketball, hockey and dodgeball.

The week concluded with a Sport Relief Mile with a difference. The children had  to complete an array of tasks along the route before moving onto the next section, kangaroo jumps, hopping, spelling challenges and sports quiz questions were among the challenges.

PE co-ordinator Miguel Carvalho said: "Students and teachers at Laurance Haines School love taking part in Sport Relief. It’s an excellent way to bring staff, students and the community together to get active, have fun and raise money for a great cause."
