A former Bushey schoolboy who used to read science fiction books inside his biology books during lessons has come a long way since then.
Keith Sedden was about nine years old when he started reading science fiction and 12 when he began writing short stories, mainly based on the TV series Thunderbirds.
Later he became more ambitious and he and a few friends wrote stories with the aim of one day compiling an anthology. Now at the age of 20 years, Keith is the editor of Vortex, a monthly journal of fantasy science fiction and speculative fiction. It is the newest science fiction magazine on the market and the only British one.
“I don’t see the point of reading and writing about real life because we live in it all the time,” said Keith at his home in Bushey Heath.
