A main Chorleywood road has reopened after engineers worked through the night to fix a burst in a 10-inch water main.
Long Lane had to be closed on Friday after police were alerted to the extensive flooding along the entire stretch of the road.
Both the main road and the slip road westbound at Junction 17 of the M25 had to be shut off.
Engineers from Affinity Water arrived at 3.30pm to carry out the repair works.
Kevin Barton, Affinity Water spokesman, said: “We would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused by a burst on a 10-inch water main on Long Lane, Chorleywood on Friday March 28.
“The burst was first reported to us at 2.50pm and our engineers arrived at 3.30pm to shut down the main and begin repairs, which were completed by 12.30am on Saturday.
“No customers were affected during the work.
“We would like to thank our customers for their patience whilst we carried out the repair.”
