A school from Aldenham has continued its winning streak at the Watford Festival of Music and Drama, the largest of its kind in Europe with more than 1,500 entries in the speech and drama section.

A small group of year seven students from Aldenham School beat 50 other schools and were awarded the cup for the most impressive group performance.

The group consisted of Lucy Yardley, Qasim Merali, Emma Gillespie and Harvey Dodd.

A group of year nine boys also won the Chrystel Arts Shield for the best devised improvisation. 

They were Zackary Agama, Jake Reynolds, Azaan Iqbal, Alex Englander, Tega Ogufere and Jensen Adeyanju.

In addition to these wins, students from the prep school enjoyed success in the junior section of the festival, winning gold medals in acting, mime and verse speaking.
