A lorry driver has died after overturning on a slip road on the M1 near Bricket Wood today.

The man in his 50s became trapped in his lorry after the incident on the M1 southbound at Junction 6A to the M25 eastbound at around midday.

Firefighters worked to free the victim but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

A number of people are believed to have passed this incident and police are asking anyone who saw what happened to contact the Herts police non-emergency number 101 quoting ISR 257 of April 1.

Very Sad. I wonder if 'rumble strips' could be installed on the inside lane approaching J6 both Southbound & Northbound to warn drivers of the bend in the road once you're on the slip road.
I'm not suggesting that the bend in the road was the cause of this fatal accident, but something has to be done to reduce the increasing number of accidents either approaching or on this junction.
