Rickmansworth estate agents donate sale commission to Peace Hospice Care
An estate agency in Rickmansworth is supporting Peace Hospice Care by donating money from their sales commissions.
This scheme was initiated when Hetheringtons Estate Agents took on the Chorleywood houses of Chrissie Keddy and Chris Van Dyk.
Chrissie is chairman of the Rickmansworth & Chorleywood Support Group for Peace Hospice Care, and her house had been on the market for over a year.
She mentioned the support she carries out for the hospice, as a result of which, Brian Moran and David Poole from Hetheringtons visited it to see first hand the support and services offered for patients and families across south west Hertfordshire.
Hetheringtons wanted to find a way to offer support - so on the successful sale of Chrissie’s and Chris’ houses - they donated £1,000.
They have now put an initiative in place to continue supporting the hospice in this way.
As a result of this Rachel Fowler, Corporate Development Manager of Peace Hospice Care, gave them her house to sell.
Rachel said: "Getting support from local companies like this is amazing and really does help us to achieve the £4 million voluntary income we need to raise each year - thank you from everyone at Peace Hospice Care".
In addition to this, five members of the Hetherington’s team took part in the Ricky Road Run last October and raised an additional £1,118.86 for Peace Hospice Care.
The five runners are Brian Moran, Chris Wood, Tom Solomans, Mark Summers and Tom Kingston.
