An award to mark the outstanding service that someone has given to the community of Rickmansworth went to the chairman of the town’s Chamber of Commerce.
The Rickmansworth Society held its 61st annual general meeting on Tuesday night.
During the AGM, Nina Hosking was presented with the Kay Mendelssohn Memorial Cup.
The cup, which is in memory of the society’s former chairman from 1961 to 2005, is awarded annually to an organisation or individual who has dedicated their time to the community.
Mrs Hosking, who was nominated by the Phoenix Morris and the Three Rivers Museum Trust, is also the chairman of the Town Team, which organises a number of events, including the annual Christmas Evening in the High street.
