A range of free activities will be held for children living in Three Rivers this Easter as part of the district council’s playschemes.

Those under the age of 19 will be able to swim free during general public sessions at William Penn Leisure Centre, in Rickmansworth, Sir James Altham Swimming Pool, in South Oxhey, and Watford Leisure Centre Woodside.

For details of the times of these sessions, contact the venues directly.

In order to participate in the scheme, visit one of the participating pools and fill out a form to receive a membership card.  It can take up to two days for the venue to process a membership and residents will need to take ID with them.

Upon receiving a card, residents can swim at the pool of their choice.

There will be many other free activities this month. Details will be listed in the council’s ‘What’s on this Easter’ brochure.

Abbie Ranns, the council’s play development officer, said:  "This Easter we have some specialist activities including Pop Dance and African Drumming.  There will also be the popular water play, face painting, art workshops and den building."
