It was kind of the BBC to show the fight between Joe Frazier and Muhammed Ali on television one hour after the annual meeting of Chipperfield parochial church council was due to start, says the vicar, the Rev John Richardson, in this month’s issue of Unity, the parish magazine.
“It provided a welcome spur for people to cut the cackle and get through a big agenda promptly,” he explained. The result was a good meeting which was also well attended.
