Watford Women’s Centre Plus has received a grant of £750 from John Lewis Watford’s Community Matters charity scheme.
The charity’s chief executive Tracey Burke-Taylor said she is "very grateful to the support given by John Lewis Watford, as the Women’s Centre is always looking for extra funding to meet ever increasing demand for the centre’s services".
The John Lewis Community Matters scheme uses tokens to enable customers to decide how much of a monthly or quarterly total is given to three charities or community groups, nominated by customers and selected by locally based Partners, the Watford branch donated a total of £1,000 per month.
Watford Women’s Centre is one of only two in the county offering face to face appointments in domestic abuse support,
