The police have released posters in Bushey to try and combat a spate of criminal damage.
Since August 2013, Hertfordshire Police has recorded 17 bricks walls damaged in streets including Bushey Mill Lane, Duncan way and Mead Way.
One resident from Duncan Way, who did not want to be named for fear of having his wall knocked down for a second time, said the people responsible were probably just "showing off".
He said: "I had my wall kicked down last week, and had to put it back up myself.
"It is extremely annoying, and it is happening at night so people are not being caught.
"It costs hundreds of pounds to pay a brick layer which is unfair for the residents.
The poster from the police reads: "Your Bushey and Radlett Safer Neighbourhood Team is investigating a number of walls being deliberately damaged. If anyone has information contact police on 101."
